Import and distribution of PPE / medical devices for emergency COVID-19

Due to the COVID-19 emergency, the demand for PPE and medical devices, such as gloves and masks, has increased. For this need it is necessary rely on various manufacturers based outside the national territory, in particular outside the EEC, who must guarantee absolute compliance with the Regulations and Directives in place for the categories of products mentioned above (PPE and MD).

The Merc team can support importers and distributors to evaluate the documentation made available by the manufacturer to verify that it is complete and actually complies with the requirements for Medical Devices and Personal Protective Equipment, also in the food area.
